SAP services for those impacted by a Department of Transportation (DOT) failed test

HAVE YOU FAILED OR HAD A REFUSAL FOR A DOT(DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION) DRUG TEST? 

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A SAP(SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROFESSIONAL) TO HELP YOU START THE PROCESS SO YOU CAN RETURN TO YOUR SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION?  

  • Have you tested positive for a DOT drug/alcohol test?

  • Have you been removed from your safety sensitive position due to a DOT positive drug or alcohol test?

  • Do you have a current or past violation related to DOT?

At Another Chance Counseling we understand this is a stressful time and most likely you are anxious to get back.  We will work with you to help you understand the process, your responsibilities and what you must do if you wish to return to work. 

Here are the steps you will follow:

MAKE APPOINTMENT AND COMPLETE INITIAL ASSESSMENT

  • Make an appointment for your initial evaluation by our SAP professional.  Call us at 208 321-5538 to schedule.  We generally have appointments available within 2-10 business days. 

  • You will receive paperwork and assessments to complete

  • On the day of your appointment you will meet via tele-health by our SAP professionaL

  • Your SAP will make recommendations for education or treatment.  You must complete these recommendation before you will be eligible to begin the return to duty process.

  FOLLOW UP EVALUATIONS 

  • After you have completed your treatment or education you will meet again with your SAP via tele-health. The SAP will review and confirm that you have completed the treatment goals they have recommended for you, and any other information they may feel is pertinent.  If you have successfully completed this, then the SAP will notify your employer that you have completed the treatment they have recommended and include a testing plan. At that poin, the employer will determine how to proceed as far as your return to duty process. The SAP will also update the clearinghouse as needed.

COST

  • The cost for our services is $600.00 and is payable at the time of enrollment.  This does not include the cost of any treatment or education that is recommended.
