Stephanie Witt, LPC

Stephanie earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from ISU Meridian in 2019, graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in psychology, and a minor in human development, from Washington State University, and holds an A.A.S. in Addiction Studies.  In Stephanie’s clinical experience she has specialized in addiction, PTSD and trauma, family of origin issues, anxiety, depression, attachment and relational issues, codependency, and sexual and gender identity concerns. As a counselor, her work draws on the interconnected fields of neuroscience, ancient traditions and psychology. She is EMDR trained and aims to provide client-centered, solution-focused, and trauma-informed care. She works from the perspective that there is inherent wisdom, strength and resilience within each of us that can be accessed through evidence-based, therapeutic activities such as learning mindfulness skills, grounding and building resources, cognitive restructuring as well as somatic inquiry. It takes courage to take that first step to begin to change your life and she would love to support you on your journey of healing.

In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys reading, gardening, camping, golf, cooking, and spending time with her long-time partner and family here in Idaho.  She also has a love of animals, with many cats and dogs who often like to make appearances in video sessions.

Stephanie specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  In addition, she incorporates Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, Hypnosis, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
