Suzanne Buchanan

Hello thank you so much for reaching out. If you are struggling with depression or relationship struggles, Here’s some information about me and what I do.

Relationship challenges: Are you in a relationship that seems caught in a cycle of negativity and endless arguments? Do you feel stuck wondering what to do next? I specialize in working with people who are struggling in their relationships, be it a couple, a mother/daughter, sister/brother or another relationship that is causing stress and worry. I use Gottman couples therapy, and I have found the strategies and interventions designed by the Gottman’s are practical, efficient and create real change. I also work with couples who have experienced some domestic violence and those couples where one or both partners may struggle with a substance addiction. We can provide tools to help you better manage conflict and also to recreate the friendship and connection you once felt. Please feel free to call 208 321-5538 if you would like to schedule. If you would like to set up a 15 minute free consultation please check here.

Depression and sadness: Do you find that you have no energy or zest for life?
Your life seems meaningless or devoid of purpose? You feel out of touch and out of sync with everyone. You cry a lot. Or you are irritable and grouchy. You feel that you are there for people, but they are not there for you. You worry about the future and fret about the past. Your mind plays over and over “You are not good enough”; “If people really knew you they wouldn’t like you”; You are such a loser”.

It can be hard to break out of this pattern of negative talk and disconnection.

Sometimes you just live in a constant state of downness. Or sometimes you start to think about not wanting to wake up the next day, or how everybody would be better if you were not here. It’s like a dark cloud hanging over you, pushing you down, down, down…

I help adults and older adults who are struggling with sadness and loneliness find connection and purpose. My clients report the dark clouds they have been living under float away and they create a life with meaning, purpose and connections.

I use talk and cutting edge therapies that can help heal the broken parts inside of you. You can hold your head high and stop hiding from others. You have lived long enough in this sad and painful place. Please feel free to call 208 321-5538 if you would like to schedule. If you would like to set up a 15 minute free consultation please check here.
